- 8:00pm~8:30pm: Open discussion, Mixer and Closing.
Tech Talk: Perforated Back propagation
Speaker: Rorry Brenner (Perforated AI)
Abstract: Neuroscience has come a long way since 1943. In fact, some researchers currently argue that the neuron should not even be considered the core computational unit of the human brain. Instead, the core building blocks of the decision making of the biological brain are the branches of dendritic trees. By leveraging dendrites, biological neurons perform complex computations that would require thousands of artificial neurons to perform. Perforated AI’s patent protected algorithm instantiates the idea of artificial dendrites, granting machine learning researchers improved performance and smaller models, with only minutes of coding.
Tech Talk: Documentation is Code (with Agentic AI)
Speaker: Yason Khaburzaniya (Breba Apps)
Abstract: What if you could build software by typing up the requirements without writing any code? In this presentation, we will introduce a new way to turn natural language into an application. Moving beyond the limitations of traditional No-Code platforms, we explore a revolutionary approach: Documentation is Code (DisC). DisC paves the way for billions of people to build billions of solutions—without ever writing a single line of code.
Tech Talk: Takollama (a RAG library based on Ollama)
Speaker: Sebastian Bassi (Toyoko)
Abstract: Takollama is a library for building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. This talk demonstrates its functionality in Colab with a bioinformatics example, showing how it uses external data to enhance language models for more accurate and comprehensive responses.
