Tech Talk: Securing Coding Agents: Sandboxes, Guardrails, and Real-World Attacks
Speaker: Michael Irwin (Docker)
Abstract: While most coding agents have "sandboxes" and "permissions", did you know that they are easily bypassed? And it's rare that a day goes by without hearing how Claude or Codex or Copilot or insert new agent here has leaked credentials or deleted a filesystem. So, how do we fix this? In this talk, we'll talk about the various ways in which things can go wrong and how Docker's been building tooling to combat these issues. At the end of the day, Docker wants to help developers get the full power of agents, but provide the proper guardrails and observability. We'll dive into Docker Sandboxes, the MCP Toolkit, and get a sneak peek of upcoming features. There will be lots of demos (both good and bad!) of blocking various attacks, ranging from filesystem deletion, to API token leaks, and various prompt injections. It should be a lot of fun!

Tech Talk: Precision AI for Regulated Industries: Retrieval, Ranking, and Real-Time Intelligence
Speaker: Kristian Aune (Vespa) | Harini Gopalakrishnan (Vespa)
Abstract: AI applications in industries like healthcare, fintech, and e-commerce demand more than basic RAG pipelines. When AI systems support regulated environments, they must deliver precision, traceability, and the ability to integrate real-time signals.
Kristian Aune & Harini Gopalakrishnan from Vespa.ai will explore how modern AI systems are evolving toward retrieval architectures built for accuracy and intelligent ranking at scale.
Through two live demonstrations, showcasing:
• Healthcare: Multimodal retrieval connecting radiology images with EHR notes and clinical context.
• E-commerce: A ranking-driven product discovery system demonstrating advanced retrieval and personalization.
We’ll also discuss how grounding AI in clinical guidelines and real-time streaming data from devices is becoming essential for next-generation healthcare systems—and how to enable these architectures.
