Tech Talk: Securing Coding Agents: Sandboxes, Guardrails, and Real-World Attacks
Speaker: Michael Irwin (Docker) ![]()
Abstract: While most coding agents have "sandboxes" and "permissions", did you know that they are easily bypassed? And it's rare that a day goes by without hearing how Claude or Codex or Copilot or insert new agent here has leaked credentials or deleted a filesystem. So, how do we fix this?
In this talk, we'll talk about the various ways in which things can go wrong and how Docker's been building tooling to combat these issues. At the end of the day, Docker wants to help developers get the full power of agents, but provide the proper guardrails and observability.
We'll dive into Docker Sandboxes, the MCP Toolkit, and get a sneak peek of upcoming features. There will be lots of demos (both good and bad!) of blocking various attacks, ranging from filesystem deletion, to API token leaks, and various prompt injections. It should be a lot of fun!
Tech Talk: Multimodal Intelligence for Life Sciences: From Data Silos to Real-Time Insight
Speaker: Kristian Aune (Vespa)
| Gloria Gao (Reveal) ![]()
Abstract: In this session, experts from Reveal HealthTech and Vespa.ai will demonstrate how multimodal AI can transform life sciences search and reason over complex data ecosystems. The demonstration fuses structured data, complex documents, unstructured text, and brain scans into a single searchable intelligence layer.
We will also discuss how this architecture supports the entire pharmaceutical value chain—including clinical research, marketing, medical affairs, and competitive intelligence and get into the basics of foundational and retrieval intelligence.
Kristian Aune of Vespa.ai will present on how current retrieval systems in sectors such as e-commerce effectively integrate vector search, ranking, and multimodal retrieval.
The session will highlight key lessons that the lifesciences, biotech, and medical fields can draw from these existing models.
If you’re building AI systems where precision matters as much as capability, this session is for you.
