Tech talk: GitHub Copilot: Your AI Companion for Every Workflow
Speaker: Reynald Adolphe (Microsoft)
Tech talk: Agent Skills Foundations and Best Practices
Speaker: Marcelo Lewin (Cigna)
Abstract: Agent skills are quickly becoming one of the most practical ways to give AI agents new capabilities, domain expertise, and repeatable workflows. In this workshop, you’ll get a clear introduction to what agent skills are, how they work, and why they matter for non-developers, product thinkers, and anyone building with AI. We’ll walk through the core concepts behind skill design, including metadata, progressive disclosure, folder structure, discovery, integration, and best practices, so you leave with a strong foundation for making AI more useful, focused, and reliable. The session will also include a live demo where we’ll create an agent skill from scratch, showing how to take a simple workflow, turn it into a skill idea, structure it properly, write the SKILL.md file, and keep the skill focused, composable, and usable in real-world scenarios.
