Tech Talk: RL Environment Hubs: Building Stronger Agents Together
Speaker: Karthik Ganesan (Snowflake)
Abstract: How do we train truly capable agentic models? At Snowflake AI Research, we believe the answer lies in RL environment hubs—large-scale, executable ecosystems where agents learn by interacting with realistic tools, APIs, and databases.
In this talk, Karthik Ganesan introduces Snowflake’s environment hub approach and shows how it enables training agents that not only use tools, but develop judgment—especially in expert-in-the-loop settings, where agents must decide when to act and when to ask for help. More importantly, this is a community problem. Progress depends on contributors building new environments, defining tasks, designing evaluation signals, and stress-testing agent behaviors.
This session will highlight how researchers and developers can participate:
* Contributing new environments and tool ecosystems
* Designing tasks that reflect real-world workflows
* Experimenting with feedback, rewards, and human/expert loops
Tech Talk: Your Coding Agent Can’t Review Its Own Work
Speaker: Ofer Mendelevitch (Band AI)
Abstract: AI agents are becoming powerful individual systems - but collaboration between them remains fragmented. To work together effectively, agents need a shared communication layer: a foundation for exchanging context, establishing trust, and coordinating work. This talk introduces that broader vision of an Internet of Agents, powered by BAND, and shows how Codeband applies it to one concrete use case: coding-agent collaboration. Through adversarial cross-model review, multiple coding agents can challenge each other across planning, implementation, and PR review - surfacing hidden assumptions before code ships.
